Alix: So as you will probably know, living in London is Expensive (capital E). As well as general living costs, going out to eat, drinking and cultural activities can often come with a hefty price tag. After a few expensive weekends last year, Rob and I came up with a game. We would take it in turns to plan a weekend, from Friday night to Sunday evening, where we could only spend £100 between us. This is including all food, drinks and activities. And binge watching a box set all weekend doesn’t count! This meant we were constantly coming up with ideas for free activities (so all the museums) and cheaper places to eat and drink. Obviously, being us, we got quite competitive and kept a tally on who could spend the least but still organise a great weekend. These weekends were so successful we have decided to bring them back this year, so look out for our write ups to give you some ideas for low cost London weekends. And do let us know your own suggestions!
